Since its launch in 2023, the PolyU Summer Institute has welcomed over 700 high school students from Hong Kong and around the world. Building on this success, we are delighted to invite your students to participate in the PolyU Summer Institute 2026, taking place from July to August 2026. This programme is open to local and overseas students currently in Grade 10 and 11 or Year 11 and 12 (or equivalent), offering them an invaluable opportunity to experience university life alongside peers from diverse backgrounds.
Highlights of the Summer Institute include:
- Residential Camp (27 to 31 July 2026): Students will stay in our Student Halls of Residence for five days and four nights, engaging in day-long attachment programmes hosted by Faculties and Schools, interactive activities with PolyU student leaders, signature mini-lectures, and company visits to gain first-hand insights for their future studies.
- Academic Subjects (3 to 7 August 2026): Students can choose from a wide range of credit-bearing and non-credit-bearing subjects across various disciplines, allowing students to experience PolyU’s teaching and learning environment. Through engaging lectures, interactive discussions, group projects, and presentations, participants can deepen their understanding of the subject matter and strengthen their academic skills. Successful completion of the credit-bearing subject may allow for credit transfer upon admission to PolyU.
We offer a Principal’s Nomination Sponsorship for students nominated by their principals who successfully complete the academic subjects and meet the subject requirements.
Applications are open until 31 March 2026, with admission offers released on a rolling basis until all places are filled. Early application is encouraged to secure preferred choices.
